Local SEO in Pakistan
The map results sit above everything else, and for most local businesses the listing behind them is wrong, unverified or missing. Fixing that is the highest-return marketing most Pakistani businesses never do. We manage twelve.
When somebody in your town searches for what you sell, Google shows three businesses on a map before it shows anything else. Getting into that block of three is local SEO, and in most Pakistani towns almost nobody is competing for it properly — which is exactly why it is winnable.
We are a development studio in Sadiqabad that runs local search every week. We currently manage twelve Google Business Profiles across Sadiqabad, Rahim Yar Khan, Lahore and Karachi. We do not guarantee rankings, buy reviews, or put keywords in a client's business name — the three things that get profiles suspended. What follows is exactly how the ranking works and what we actually do.
How does Google decide who ranks?
Three levers, and everything else is detail:
- Relevance — how well your profile and website match the search. This is your category, your services and products, and the words on your pages.
- Distance — how close you are to the person searching. You cannot move the shop, but you can set your service area honestly so you appear across the areas you actually cover.
- Prominence — how known and trusted you are. Mostly reviews, then citations and local links. This is where the real, durable movement is.
What actually moves the needle, in order
- Category
- The single most powerful field. Chosen by testing against what already ranks for your term, not guessed. Every true secondary category added on top.
- Reviews to ten, then recency
- Reach ten Google reviews, then stop chasing volume and keep them recent. Recent reviews now carry more weight than old ones. We ask every customer, suggest no wording, and offer nothing — all three are required to stay inside the rules.
- Profile completeness
- Services, products, attributes, hours and a proper set of on-location photos. AI summaries in Maps read these fields directly.
- Citations and NAP
- The same name, address and phone everywhere — Google, Bing, Apple and the directories that matter — plus Bing Places and Apple Business Connect, which almost nobody local claims.
- Local links
- A few genuine local mentions and links. Slow, but it compounds and it is hard to fake.
- Weekly posts and engagement
- A post a week, prompt answers in the Q&A, and calls and directions tracked as the real result.
Where AI answers fit now
People increasingly ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Copilot and Google's AI for "the best [service] in [town]" and act on the answer without scrolling. Those systems read structured data, clear question-and-answer content, and files like llms.txt, and they lean on Bing and Apple as much as Google. We build for this deliberately — we did every part of it on our own site first — and in this market that is close to a category of one. You can check whether the assistants name your business with our free tool.
What we do for you
The full scope, price and the honest "what we will not do" live on the service page:
- Google Business Profile setup, correction and monthly management — the core service.
- Suspension and reinstatement when a listing goes down — we tell you the odds before you pay.
- The website underneath it, built properly, because we are a development studio first.
Areas we serve
We run local search across South Punjab and beyond. By town:
- Local SEO in Sadiqabad — our home city, where the office is.
- Local SEO in Rahim Yar Khan — the district, served directly.
- Local SEO in Lahore — the capital, and where our design practice sits.
What it costs
Ongoing work starts at PKR 10,000 a month. Most engagements sit between PKR 5,000 and PKR 30,000 depending on scope, and smaller one-off jobs start at PKR 5,000.
We scope before we quote and the first phase is a fixed price, so if it is not working, stopping is cheap. See how that compares with the rest of the market →
Our own numbers, honestly
Our Google profile currently holds 5.0 from 3 reviews — small, recent and real. We are running the same review method we sell, in public, rather than claiming a number we have not earned. When we tell you reviews take time, it is because ours do too. Read them on Google →
Questions
It is the block of three business listings with a map that Google shows above the normal results when somebody searches for a service near them. For a shop, clinic, workshop or contractor it is the front door, and in most Pakistani towns it is barely contested, so a properly set-up profile can reach the top three quickly.
Three things: relevance (how well your profile and site match the search), distance (how close you are to the person searching), and prominence (how known and trusted you are, mostly through reviews, citations and links). You cannot move your shop, so the work is relevance and prominence.
Your primary Google Business Profile category, chosen by testing against what already ranks for your term. This one field carries more weight than the rest of the profile combined. After that, reviews and profile completeness.
Ten, then stop counting. Published testing found that reaching ten produced a consistent lift and that going from ten to eleven produced nothing measurable. After ten, keeping them recent matters more than adding more — recent reviews now carry more weight than old ones.
Category and profile changes can move things within weeks. Reviews, photos and links take longer because they are supposed to. Competitive terms in Lahore take months. Anyone quoting you a fixed number of days is guessing.
Both. The profile ranks in the map; the website supports it with matching name, address and phone, a page for each service and city, and correct structured data. We build the site properly because we are a development studio first — most local-SEO shops cannot.
Yes, and almost nobody in this market does. Bing Places feeds ChatGPT and Copilot; Apple Business Connect feeds Siri and Apple Maps. Both are free to claim and both are ignored locally.
That is the newer battleground and we build for it deliberately: clean structured data, question-and-answer content, an llms.txt file and an AI-crawler policy. We did all of it on our own site first. Most Pakistani agencies have not started.
Yes. We manage profiles across Sadiqabad, Rahim Yar Khan, Lahore and Karachi. Everything except the photographs and the verification video can be run from here, and for those two we talk you through exactly what to film.
No. Nobody controls the ranking, and anyone who promises a position is telling you something useful about themselves. We guarantee the work, the method and honest monthly reporting on calls, directions and clicks.
It works briefly, then a competitor reports it and the profile gets suspended. We will not do it. The listing name has to match your real-world signage, and we would rather keep you ranking than get you a fast lift that ends in a suspension.
A monthly report of calls, direction requests and website clicks measured against a baseline we record before touching anything, plus a geogrid ranking check repeated with the same terms so the comparison actually means something. Not impressions.
